If you've ever had a cold sore before and get them often, you would benefit by going to see your GP and ask for a course of Anti Viral tablets to prevent cold sores. Healing can make you vulnerable to the virus appearing where the tattoo is healing.
-
If you are having lips done, if youve had one cold sore, it is mandatory that you go to your GP and get anti virals. Tattooing causes trauma to the epidermis of the lip, in turn stimulating the virus to appear in the lips while healing. Medication will stop this happening. This course of anti virals need to be started 3 days before your lip session.
